i know, i know, i am not bill gates and i don't have such a cool office he has, but this article reminded me i once promised to post some pictures of the new foxite home where i moved to three months ago. well here is the "foxite office" .

i have to admit i rarely work here. i only sit in this room to burn backups to dvd or for hardware maintenance. i do most of the programming work downstairs in the living room and in bed.

it's pretty incredible to look back 30 years to when microsoft (research) was starting and realize how work has been transformed. we're finally getting close to what i call the digital workstyle.

if you look at this office, there isn't much paper in it. on my desk i have three screens, synchronized to form a single desktop. i can drag items from one screen to the next. once you have that large display area, you'll never go back, because it has a direct impact on productivity.

last week i posted about my dead pda. well, earlier today ups returned my ppc.
hp have replaced the main board.

i am currently reloading the windows mobile 5 rom and collecting the my favorite ppc apps, including:

• egress rss reader
• resco explorer
• resco pocket radio
• tcpmp movie player
• wififofum wifi network scanner
