We're Back!
Phew. That was an exhausting three weeks. Good fun, but exhausting. We really had a great time in both UK and the Prague, but it is nice to be home for a while.
It was very encouraging to see, at the Prague FoxPro DevCon over 400 attendees representing almost a dozen nationalities (including a single attendee from the USA and several from the UK). Not only is Prague a great city to visit, but the conference was great as well. There were two English speaking tracks and the speaker list (in addition to Marcia and myself) included Ken Levy, Randy Brown and Richard Stanton all from Microsoft!
Hopefully a few more brave souls will venture out to Prague in 2006 -it really is a worth while endeavour you know!
Of course, the German Devcon is coming up in Frankfurt - three full days from 10th - 12th November. As the dollar recovers its value against the Euro the true cost of attending reduces! Check it out
This is also a truly great conference to visit - the location is superb, the content (60 sessions) is wonderful and some of the best VFP speakers in the world will be there. The list this year includes: Steven Black, Doug Hennig, Colin and Lisa Slater Nicholls, Drew Speedie, Rick Strahl, Craig Bernston, Ken Levy, Dan Jurden and yes, even Marcia and myself
You will find details on the German User Group's website as they become available (See http://dfpug.de and follow the conference link) or watch the page on the Fox Wiki (http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~GermanDevCon2005~VFP) and do read the link at http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~GreatThingsAboutDevconGermany while you are at it!
Hopefully we'll see a few more attendees from the US and UK this year!
